The Three Things We're Coveting This Spring
Pastel hues are a seasonal favourite, as the warmer weather denotes lightweight styles in Springtime palettes. From Millenial pink that rolled over into Pantone’s ultraviolet, these soft tones are a wardrobe fixture for 2018. Skipping past the runways, we’ve kept our eye out on what our favourite street style individuals are wearing. Head-to-toe pastel hues in the prettiest ice-cream flavoured shades are a standout favourite in tones of lavender purple, mint green, and butterscotch yellow.
HOLD IT CLOSE
Just like we ditched our small Nokias for large-screen iPhones, the return of the large bag has dawned. From tote bags to oversized clutches and large holdalls, the motto for this season is ‘the bigger, the better’. We’re loving the extra storage space of this new bag trend and to embrace it, we’re holding it close to our heart, literally. As debuted by Givenchy, Maison Margiela and Rochas, wearing it on your shoulder is out, and hugging it is in.
Not the bad kind you get made fun of for in your pre-teens, but the full balaclava looks that bobbed down the fall/winter runways. From Calvin Klein, Gucci to newcomer Marine Serre, the full face look told a clear message – gear up and cover up. From what exactly? A call to arms in the fluctuating political climate or a weather forecast for the unpredictable snow days this March… all we know is we’ll be donning Preen’s floral print version come Spring.
