Chinese New Year represents the date of the new moon of the first lunar month. The Lunar New Year 2017 falls on Saturday, January the 28th initiating another year of the rooster in the Chinese zodiac. We've selected some chic places to celebrate the upcoming festivities in London .

On Friday 27nd of January and Saturday 28th of January, the upscale Chinese restaurant will feature have the traditional Lion Dane at 9pm. China Tang's Chef Fong has created several special dishes to complement their a la carte menu for their 'Year of the Rooster' menu with a particularly interesting dish called 'Buddha Jumps over the Wall.'. Hutong at the Shard:
On Saturday the 28th of January 2017, Hutong will be offering their yearly "Double Happiness" menu priced at £88.00 per person. To welcome the Lunar New Year, the trendy restaurant celebrates with traditional lion dancers and nice makers to ward off evil spirits. Hakkasan is celebrating Chinese New Year with a limited edition menu showcasing dishes that will bring luck, joy and prosperity in 2017. The special menu runs throughout mid January-Early February at a set menu of £88.00 or £108.00 (8 is considered a lucky number). The the menu is accompanied by an exclusive cocktail and dessert inspired by the Year of the Rooster.
